F-M Turkey Trot registration gets underway

— Put the pumpkin pie in the refrigerator and lace up your running shoes before heading over to the Third Annual F-M Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning on the Fayetteville-Manlius High School cross country trails.

All ages and abilities are welcome to walk, trot or run at the Turkey Trot, held on Thursday, Nov. 22. Participants should meet at the F-M High School track that surrounds the Turf Field, 8199 E. Seneca Turnpike, Manlius.

An 800-meter kids’ fun run will take place at 10 a.m., and a 4K and 8K race will begin at 10:15 a.m. The start and finish will be near the Turf Field. In the event of snow, an alternate route will be available. Please do not wear spiked shoes or bring pets. The event is sponsored by the F-M All Sports Booster Club, and proceeds will benefit all of F-M’s sports programs. Registration fees are tax deductible.

Register online at fmsportsbooster.com or print and mail the form (found online) to Carey Lorraine, 4424 Swissvale Drive, Manlius, NY 13104, ATTN: Turkey Trot. Checks must be made payable to FM All Sports Booster Club. Mail-in registrations must be received by Nov. 19.

Pre-race registration is $20 per adult (includes one t-shirt); $15 per child under the age of 12 (includes one t-shirt). There is a $50 family maximum (parents and children 18 and younger, includes two t-shirts.) T-shirts are limited to the first 400 registered individuals. Individuals may register on the day of the race beginning at 9 a.m. at the Snack Shack by the F-M High School Turf Field for $25 per adult; $20 per child under the age of 12 (includes T-shirt); $60 family maximum (includes two T-shirts).
